Digitalisation of operations and finance.

Nibor NEXT helps businesses and governments put the data in operations and finance to work so the business can steer better: in reporting, management control, planning and automating repetitive work.

(01) Who it is for

For organisations where the figures exist, but not on time, not consistent, or not where decisions are made. Think of a finance department that compiles reports by hand every month, a team that plans on experience rather than data, or an organisation that wants to know where a process really gets stuck.

What we do

We start with the question of what the business gains from the data. Then we look at how to put it to work.

  • Financial processes and reporting: figures that arrive on time and mean the same to everyone.
  • Management control: the right management information for whoever decides.
  • Project administration: a grip on hours, costs and progress per project.
  • Process mining: seeing how processes really run, not how they look on paper.
  • RPA: automating repetitive work, so people have time left for the exceptions.
  • Planning and deployment: deploying people and resources based on data.

Legend

Process mining
A method that derives from the data in your systems how a process really runs: which steps, in what order, where it waits and where work comes back.
RPA (Robotic Process Automation)
Software that takes over repetitive actions in existing systems, such as transferring data or running checks.

From practice

Planning that avoids rush hour.

As Chief Digital Officer of Siemens Netherlands, Robin initiated and led the development of an algorithm that schedules the work of service engineers across the country with as little travel time as possible. In two hours it calculated the schedule for all work of all engineers in 2020. Seventy engineers used it at the start, with plans to expand to 350. Siemens expected it to save around one million kilometres of driving in 2020.

Winner with a maintenance case.

Robin led the Siemens team that won the Leadership Challenges with Data Analytics at Rotterdam School of Management, Erasmus University, in January 2020. Five teams, from organisations including ING, Stedin and the Municipality of Rotterdam, each worked on their own case. The Siemens team chose the maintenance of installations. The jury cited the systematic process approach, the smart use of data and the clear visualisation.

Always business-led

What you get from us depends on the question in your organisation. That is why we always start with the business: which decisions need to improve, and which processes take too much time. The technology comes after that.

We do not advise on the choice of an ERP package. We do advise on what you do with the data and which processes you tackle first.

Questions

Do you advise on ERP packages?

No. We advise on what you do with the data, not on the choice of package.

Do you build the solution yourselves?

No. We advise and lead the process. The building is done by your own IT department or a supplier.

Do you also work for government?

Yes. We work for businesses and for government.

What is process mining?

A method that derives from the data in your systems how a process really runs, including waiting time and rework.

What is RPA?

Software that takes over repetitive actions in existing systems, such as transferring data or running checks.
